Tower Defence - addictive game

You need "upkeep" money for each person. Even if you hack the .sol file to give you squillions of people and cash, it all goes pear shaped when you can' afford to keep them and you start a really high level with 8 archers and nothing else

...but I had plenty of money

Not a clue, but if you spend loads on upgrades, you lose loads of people as you it takes money for "staff" out before you get paid. Or something like that anyway. :)

I made the assumption it was classed as general attrition, so you wouldnt end up with masses of people fighting for you. It looks like each person you convert lasts two levels then 'dies' (the level you convert them and the level after that).

I was doing quite well the second time i played them some massive person came up and destroyed my castle becauase i couldnt seem to move him. :(

Yeah, I'm going to do that - don't want to make it where by a certain level it's completely impossible to get further if I can help it.

Also thinking of introducing the concept of interest on your money each wave so if you can survive with a few towers for as long as possible you earn interest on the money you have, which will pay off more later on?

me and my gf liked this game if you do make it can you put different routes like different maps would be fun :)

I worked it out... as SB118 said, you have to have the money for the people before you start the level, so 10 people cost 2000, so lets say you have 50 people, make sure you have that much money before you start the level... don't spend it all on upgrades... I am at the stage where I leave the game running in the background and it just plays itself:

I am on Stage 31 with 2964500 points
I have 300 archers, 100 craftsmen and 100 wizards :)

The new one.
I've reached 79 on the other one.

I used to play this one ages ago but i've forgotten how to do well on it. My mousing skills are rubbish too.

Any tactics for this game?
I can't get past level 10.

Which? Towers or Stick Men?

If Towers: Build one or two towers to start with and fully upgrade them. Then keep building new towers only after you have fully upgraded any other towers. Bit futile playing the game though as it has been discovered that with the current amount of money you get for each kill you simply do not get enough to build enough towers to keep up with the increased damage of each wave. So the much vaunted 90 is impossible and the only way it is possible is if you hack the game.

When you start the game, save up to buy the temple (make necessary repairs if you have to)... then as soon as you have the temple, start making people by dropping them into your castle.

Continue with this until you have enough money to buy the archery thing... and then convert these people to archers.

Note: before you convert people to archers/craftsmen/magicians, ensure you have enough money to support them at the START of the level. For example, after purchases, if you only have 1000 left and you start the level with this, this will only pay for 5 people... so if you train any more, you will lose them at the end of the level (you can make them and not lose them, but just don't train them until you have the money).

Next step would be to do a few castle upgrades and then save up for the mana pool - convert a few magicians so you have the skull spell to kill the big people.

Finally do a few more upgrades and get the craftsmen thing... and put a few people in there to repair your castle.

All through this, keep converting people... and adding them to your 3 skills.

I personally prefer more archers, because they then kill most the enemies. If you do all this right, by stage 30 or so the game will run itself... my games been running for like 4 days now and I just click save and start every time it comes up :p
