A Great Year for Gigs

There is only one act to see this year, and that's Metallica @ Wembley :D

Cannot wait. All I need now is Rammstein to play somewhere :)

When are Metallica coming upto Scotland?

I saw Rammstein two years ago at the SECC on the Reise Reise tour and they were amazing

I saw Meatloaf in '05. The music was good but his voice has pretty much gone now, hasn't it? I was disappointed.

Bryan Adams, however, is putting on some storming shows at the moment.

-Playing for 2 1/2 hours, including:
-Playing on a stage in the MIDDLE of the audience,
-Dragging audience members onto the stage all night long
-Playing some classic blues covers
-Playing a monster setlist of about 26/27 songs, and
-Walking through the audience at a point during the show!

Even if you aren't a fan of his music, you'd still enjoy the show! :) Have a good one!

Yeah Meat Loaf was pretty good when it came to his new stuff (Land of the Pigs was good) he just doesn't seem to be as good when singing the old classics

Wasn't really that fussed on going to Bryan Adams - looking forward to it now after your comments though

Never, do you know if they have announced any of the support acts for the gig? I've been looking around but can't find any info.

I've heard that the following will be supporting:

My Chemical Romance
The Streets
We Are Scientists
CSS
Billy Clyro

This was reported in The London Paper a couple of weeks ago.

Can't wait to see them again - they put on a great show! :)

Roll on the 16th!

This year I've seen:

The Shins
Regina Spektor

Regina Spektor being one of the most beautiful experiences of my entire life.

Thus, going to see her again in September, for the second most beautiful experience of my entire life. :D :D

EDIT: Also hoping to catch Monkey Swallows The Universe at some point this year.

Seen the Spektor, lots of vocal gymnastics, using chairs as percussion etc, very good show

Brian Jonestown Massacre - July
Richard Hawley - Sept

Been a quiet year gigwise

Just saw Biffy Clyro 3 times in 3 days... Coming up, Muse at Wembley and... Eh, Biffy again :D And saw the Wildhearts a bit back. Loads of others, but these three alone make it a good year ;)
