It may not be the best rule but its still a rule and it gets enforced so why bother to whinge about it? I think your playing with fire by slating it.

Indeed.

also i think its more to stop people from going "x product is x amount cheaper here" i don't think anyone is REALLY going to care if you happen to have a competitor invoice or whatever it was on your desk but it just falls under the same rule.

Well, I'm absolutely pig sick. After seeing the morgan beech corner desks on here I decided to order them along with the single and double door pedestals. My daughter took delivery a few weeks ago and the 3 boxes have remained in the kitchen until today when I finally had enough time to start building it. So I look at the boxes only to discover 2 are for the double, and one for the single, and the corner unit was completely missing. So one phonecall later I find that the company that provides these desks has gone into insolvency, so Ive had to arrange for Argos to pick up the pedestals. Im gutted because going by the pictures on here it was a beautiful desk.

Anyone got any links to similar desks please?

Hmm, just found this, looks pretty similar.

That must be annoying. I know, when i was in the market for new desk, i was either going to get the Argos set or the Tesco one you just posted. At the time, though, the Tesco one had about 30% off, plus i have a Priviledge card so i would have got another 10% off, but i got the Argos one in the end anyway. The Tesco desk is certainly nice, but it doesn't have the thick top like the Argos one does.

I have seen some nice corner tables, which come with pedestals and other bits n' bobs. Not sure i can give a Link to them though ?

Hint: Good for keeping paper fastened together...

Hmm I'm getting increasingly tempted to upgrade from my 17" CRT, I may have to hide the bank card from myself for a few days until temptation passes.

Upgrade your cassette player, VCR and Nokia 3210 while you're at it. :p

It has bent in the middle, but it been like that since I used to stack vcr/tv in middle. All the weight is taken on the back of the desk in this case so it will hold together just about ;)

When I redecorate this room entirly, it gonna have a big long workbench on 3 walls which should hold all the machines and look abit nicer ;)

Below is another image which shows the slight annoyance, but not a deal braker is the hdmi cropping. The overscan area has been cut off as if the monitor has zoomed in a little far. its in Aspect mode, but 1:1 is no different.

I got it from Wickes mate. Its 205cm long by 60cm wide. Cost £35 mate and i didn't even have to cut it to fit my room. :)

Many thx, never thought about Wicks. 205cm = 6ft 7" so that will be ideal for my computer room. I got two Dell 2407s to stick on it.
