Raptor only 5.6 in vista?

Every other component in my PC scores 5.9 (apart from cpu = 5.7 E6600@3ghz) but my raptor only gets 5.6 for transfer rate?

Just thought it might be more. :confused:

A lot of the SATA2 drives are whipping the Raptors.

Access time is about the only thing the Raptors have to boast about these days.

E6600 @ 3GHz is only 5.7? How do you get 5.9 in CPU then?!

Which is why it scores lower.

The older raptors were very quick when they launched, however you need one of the newer editions to stay quicker than the top 7,200RPM drives (which are a lot quicker than the old raptors).

Especially the 36g raptor which comes way down in the charts. I almost bought one until I looked at some performance leaderboards

As for the Windows scores... you'd need an SCSI drive to get top marks for througput, right?

No, I get 5.9 with one of the new Raptors.
