Didn't see a thread for this yet so here's one, with stars 'n everything.

What are you growing? How are you growing it? How's it growing?
Grow your own pics, tips, questions or bragging about the size of your marrow!

More of the same for me this year both on the allotment and at home. I'm hoping to build on some successes (and a few failiures) from last year with squashes and sweetcorn. I'm also going to try peas and beetroot and I'm giving poatatoes in bags a go as well. I've got a new greenhouse on order which should extend my tomato growing as well as giving me the chance to try peppers and indoor cucumbers.

What's going on in your veg patch?

Been growing a human for 4 years. Was lots of fun making her. Lots of work to bring her up, but the results so far are very rewarding.

So far I've planted:

  • Marrows
  • Cucumbers
  • Courgettes
  • Carrots
  • Sweetcorn
  • Peas
  • Lettuce
  • Tomatoes
  • Spring Onions
  • Strawberries

I have a chilly plant but it has lots of white flys on it how the hell do i stop them
as the spiders do a rubbish job :p

I built a raised patch last year, purely for my son and I to practice and learn together. He's 22 months now and we have put in peas, onions, garlic, carrots, spring onions and 9 growbags of 3 varieties of potatos.

We have planted some rocket, chives, mint and rosemary.

I have also bought two single grow bag greenhouses for tomatos.

My boy absolutely loves his veggies and I saw it as a way to learn together and he can see where all his favourites come from. There will no doubt be some complete disasters but it's been a great way to spend time together so far.

I had a problem with black flies on mine. Put down some of this on the soil http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Diatomaceous-...t=UK_Pet_Supplies_Poultry&hash=item3a6470fb61

It kills the grubs in the soil. You can also mix it with water and spray it on the leaves. Seems to have worked for me and is pretty cheap.

I'm just growing peppers, chillies and tomatoes this year.

Tomatoes, aubergine, sweet peppers, chillies, courgette, cucumber, mixed salad leaves and herbs (grow these all year round though).

Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Onions, Peas, Sweetcorn and Peppers (Chilli & Bell).

I grew more of a variety last year, but had very little of each thing (except courgettes; 4 plants was way too many! :p) so this year I've gone for a few things I'll actually use and am growing them in bulk.

ive got a sunflower bucket from asda, was a fiver. One sunflower is around 2+feet tall i bet, dwarf sunflowers my arse! Ill grab a pic soon :P

living in a masonet flat thingy and only having a small balcony im just growing 1 tomato plant (gardeners delight) and a single french bean plant)

lol the tomato plant has kinda taken over our south facing kitchen window.

i grew a lot more last year but the missus was moaning about it all :@
