i was happy with this keyboard until i discovered i cant press more than 2 keys at the same time. What use is that for a gamers keyboard? my old microsoft keyboard that cost £10 which i used before does this fine. So im paying loads of extra cash for lights and reduced functionality? please tell me theres some sort of patch for this or something. It looks like others have the same problem trying to find something on the net myself

no it only seems to be certain keys..reading up on it i believe its down to matrices or whatever they are called. Certain keys are grouped together meaning you can only press them at the same time but not 1s from different matrices. Some crap like that anyway

Putting it simply i used to use the arrow keys and the 0 key just to the right of the arrows at the same time cause i use it for walking for e.g in CSS. Now if i wanna walk in CSS i either have a choice of using random different keys i.e allowing the keyboard to dictate my key preference or i can walk in a straight line but run diagonally

the fact that my crappy old keyboard could do it and this 1 cant is what makes me pretty unhappy. It costs 4 times more and its only reason for purchase was gaming which its having a negative impact on unless this gets fixed. If theres no solution its getting RMAed

no, my old keyboard was ps2 and this 1 is usb, but i dont think thats what its down to

Are you sure your ports are working correctly, drivers wise etc?

Just been reading up and most of the stuff I'm finding just says that the Eclipse II has this issue fixed... not much help really. Sorry.

I had the same problem with some microsoft keyboard I bought, its to do with how the key is laid on on the membrane afaik? and only a certain number of keys (2?) can be pressed at the same time on the same membrane. Unfortunately nothing software side can fix this problem as its a hardware limitation

yea i should have researched a bit more, im picky when it comes to this sort of thing. The surround sound medusa progamer headset might need rmaed as well, says its got a detachable microphone on the site but looks like its just the home 1 that does it

If you are an arrow key user at fps games like I am, then I would recommend Logitech keyboards as the majority of those I tried works fine with the usual arrow key config.

do they allow you to adjust the led brightness as well? im after the same type of keyboard as this just without the key restriction. Im looking at the G11 just now (the G15 LCD seems overkill for me) have you had experience with it at all? honestly i wasnt expecting any problems from a keyboard i thought it would either be faulty or fine, totally surprising to find last milenium technology beating it in any area

Sorry I dont actually have any experience with the logitech gaming series of keyboard, but I read some reviews on the G15 and it mentions nothing about LED dimming or turning off so I doubt it has such features

i might try and get the eclipse 2 if it fixes the problem..ill try and confirm that before doing it. Only problem is the original reason i didnt order 1 is cause OC never seem to have those in stock..

If you can hold of buying till April, the microsoft reclusa is well worth looking into. It pretty much uses the same hardware as the Razer Tarantula

Or get a Tarantula? I got mine from OCuK yesterday & have got to say it's a lovely bit of kit (and its shiny black body fits in nicely with my Samsung 931C!).

I have the G11, and the lights can be dimmed or turned off entirely. It's a nice keyboard, but it does take a little while to adjust to all the macro keys on the left - I kept hitting one of them instead of Ctrl.
