I was wondering if its safe with the proper tools and materials to have your hdd suspended inside your pc instead of it being bolted to the inside, there by reducing vibration (a lot) and sound, has anyone here done this ?

Yes there is lots of threads here and I posted on them what IMO was the best job ever. (cant find thread of pics of it).

Weird only 1 thread remains.

I just bought an antec solo for my old PC and it actually comes fitted with 3 "bungee" sections for suspending 3 hard drives which is quite cool. Although I wont be using them, will use the provided drive rails with "silicone" grommets - wouldnt want the hard drive to clatter about in my case if I moved it.

wow that looks so cool, would be sweet if the rope was invisible, i mean it could be done buy using an light of the same colour of the rope, floating drives.
