New car - C2 VTS

As some may remember from my spec me thread i was after an A to B'er for work (company car) but something i can have fun in at the weekends still.

Picked this up tonight, 05 plate C2 VTS, 21k miles, one lady owner from new (was a company lease car) mot and full service at 19,900 miles, full citroen service history, 4 new tyres, all the extras and minty mint. Cheap insurance and tax (considering i only have 2yncb) and got it for a good price.

A 5.5 year old lease car with one owner from new?

I didnt think any of the big leasing companies kept cars for that amount of time :eek:

Possibly as it's very low mileage and would have made good sense if it was cheap at the end of lease.

Some companies now lease vehicles for upto 7 years!

About time - cars can stay looking fresh for much longer these days and IMHO disposing of them every 3 years is wasteful.

Looks very tidy. What's the rear space like? Can you actually fit two adults in the back? Looks tiny.

Well im 6'3 and need the seat all the way back, which means the front seat almost touches the rear. Not much room in the back but not really a problem for me as the only person that would ever go in the back is my 2.5year old nephew

Suspension is pretty hard, but doesn't bother me. Grips very well, and the brakes are excellent. Its not fast by any means but its defiantly got some poke low down, quite a short ratio gearbox so its fun for the twistys. The hydraulic clutch is...to be honest, lifeless and too loose, but thats something im willing to live with. It is what it is, a cheap hatchback with a reasonably pokey engine thats good fun to throw around.

One of the few small hatchbacks that doesn't look completely girly, tbh. Nice in silver too. Though that mileage is awfully low for a 5 year old car, especially considering it was a company lease. Did she live on the business park or something?
