As from Sunday 23rd apparently, on Cable/Satellite and Freeview. Just as a point of interest, if you have a Sky box without a subscription but you watch the normal channels plus ITV3 etc through it should you get this too? If so do you have to plug the phone cable in to update it?

Oh so my freeview box might be worthwhile afterall?

My tv watching might go up from 1hr to 2hrs a week now! :p

Gonna be watching half a Film Four movie each week then? ;)

Good news, shame my digibox just died, still got the good old Compro card though.

It was known that Film Four was going to be free earlier this year - we've just been waiting for the date.
They have around 300,000 subscribers at the moment, but feel opening it up to a potential audience of 18m is a better idea.

They have promised to keep the same kind of films.
Family during the afternoon, action & "Hollywood" during the evening with scarier and cult films during the evening.
We are however going to lose Film Four weekly and of course once it does go free there will be advertisement breaks during the films.
