during the films? that's crap

Yeah, but no different to BBC/ITV with adverts on ITV and them putting the news on half way through films on both channels (though not sure if BBC have done this for a while?)

Well think about it.
Right now they have 300,000 subscribers paying what, £7 per month?
That is £2.1m income from subscribers.
They have to get that money back from somewhere.

18m potential viewers means a lot more people will want to advertise.

...On a general note, the only ones to contribute decent content to Freeview are Channel 4. E4, More4 and soon-to-be Film4 are the only decent channels available :)
And BBC!

No lol. God knows what they're spending the license money on.

Incredibly mind boring period dramas such as bleak house.

I suppose they did give us Planet Earth which was excellent.

9pm Tonight People, First Showing is "Lost in Translation"

Just discovered this is also free on Sky Boxes without a subscription (Cancelled)

I enjoyed LIT a little more than the first time i watched it (not saying much as i hated it 1st time!). It still ranks as one of the most over-rated films of all time though.

I started watching LIT but wasn't in the mood, I turned over to Amélie and was very dissapointed, I thought it was tripe. Watched a bit of Sexy Beast though, it's an awesome film.
