Proposed date is the weekend of the 29th October, should give people enough time to prepare.

It could even be the first meeting of the OcUK Steak Club.

Depends what you eat and drink and how much of it. Chataubriand and Bone-in Rib are pricey, as are a lot of the wines. They do set menus for groups of 8 or more, the cheapest being £50 for 3 courses.

It's an easy restaurant to get carried away in. The steaks that are sold per 100g come out large, the sides mount up quickly if you want a bit of variety, the wine is expensive and they have one of the best Mixologists in London working for them. If you're not disciplined with yourself then it can potentially be one of the more expensive tables in London. You could do a main course with drinks for £30 if you're careful. If you're not then you could easily be looking at double that, or nearer £100 for 3 courses (and beyond).

Under the Steak Club tab on their website there appears to be a blackboard with weights of Chateaubriand (£12/100g) and Porterhouse (£6.50/100g) steaks.

The Porterhouse steaks would appear to have been 0.8 to 1kg (£52 - £65)

The Chateaubriand steaks would appear to have been 1.4 to 1.8kg (£168 - £216)

I'd fret about not being able to finish one of those after forking out that much.

Cheatubriand, it basically the thick end of fillet, so an average fillet steak weighs around 200 - 300g so about 40 quid I reckon. no one could eat 1kg of fillet so its probably to share.

There are wider selectiosn of sizes available depending on the day. I've seen Chateaubriand from 600g, for example. The most I've ever managed to eat to myself was 600g of Chateaubriand (a 1.2Kg shared between 2), and it really is a LOT of that kind of cut!

I'd be up for sharing a Chateaubriand.

I can also confirm the roast dinner is very very good...

I have a thing for the Lamborghini Campoleone, too.

If it's a Hawksmoor visit I can almost certainly recruit some other OcUK'ers who I know are somewhat regular diners :p

Have you been before mangobreeder?

As this is local, I may make the effort. Treat myself for my birthday or something.
