So i dont know when the link is back up, but if somebody else gets it, can they post it up here

That sounds like they are talking about the PowerPlay issues. I REALLY hope they just add an option to disable it altogether.

We all know that NV drivers are unified.
They just want to keep the enhancements to the 9 series only for a while.
Let them play inf games, we know how to get round it.

Wonder if those cats have any Crysis enhancements ?
That would keep Simon happy :)

Radeon 3870x2 - Ok installed hotfix, tried UTournament 3 a lot smoother for me, also tried Counterstrike Source also big improvement. Will test further tonight, had stuttering on these games before now smooth as silk 1280x1024 & 1600x1200 @ 85hz.

ATI to the rescue again!!! :D.

I've even got my 2900Pro (overclocked 850/1000) plugged back in (still have the GTX). It runs CoD4 a lot better/faster/smoother without AA than my GTX does even when overclocked to 630/1630/2000 (I don't play with AA online). I've not experienced any slowdown/flickering so I'll leave this hotfix until then but I am using the 8.3 driver. I have to say I'm mighty impressed with the CoD4 findings. I only plugged the card back in as Call of Duty 1 has problems with 8800 cards . All of us on the Call of Duty forums can't find a fix :(. I then tried CoD4 and wow :D :D :D.

should i just install these over the top of cat 8.3 or treat them as an entirely new driver release, ie delete current 8.3, use driver cleaner etc
