Poll: Slicing a guy in half with a katana in one blow, possible?

So we're having this debate on IRC (#overclockers-uk on quakenet) and DRZ says its not possible to cut a guy in half in one sweep with a mint condition Katana and the others say it is. So, is it? Are Samurai swords *that* sharp that they could do it in one go?

I take it you mean from the top of the head down? Or halfway across their middle?

No chance from head to groin, you'd have to slice through the einter skull, spine, collar bone, pelvis, no to mention all the muscle.

No way in my view.

I say you'll get half way through the skull and that's about it. If you can get past that, then there are all the spin, and the center of the rib cage/breast plate and the hip. That's a lot of dense bone.
