There are enough people here who love the gym and I am sure loads of people love to cook

Add a reciepe that you like, can be good for bulk/cut also add some nutrional info if possible.

I'll go first and I take no credit for this, the lad who works in local gym told me about this beauty.

100g Macaroni
100g Cheese
2 slices of bacon
single cream
(also add onion/peppers etc.. if you like it)

Boil the macaroni whilst you cook your bacon (sliced) and onion etc in a wok. When both are done add it all into the wok and add half a pot of single cream and the 100g of cheese. Cook on a low heat until all the cheese has melted, serve up and eat!

This is around 42g of protein and 1200calories in on sitting! Today I also added some chicken so that bumps up the cals and protein (unsure by how much).

Also another favourite is some egg noodles from asda, chicken/peppers/onions and what ever else you fancy. The noodles take around 4mins to boil and the chicken doesnt really take much longer! Unsure of the nutrional info for this as i havent made it for a while but I know its pretty damn good

And enough saturated fat to raise your bad cholesterol levels and help clog the arteries. Eating such a concoction on a regular basis will do nothing for your physique besides making you look soft as a marshmallow. Bulking is about quality calories and giving your body the right nutrients it needs for growth, not pigging out on junk.

I didnt say eat it every day! All in moderation, plus you will find some people no matter how hard they try find it difficult to gain weight so as long as some cardio is done as well I dont see a problem with such a meal. (Again not every day)

Like me for example im on feet all day doing quite a demanding job so I need extra calories compared to people who sit in the office. I do eat well rest of day btw ;)

whey is boring and is a supp remember so real food should come before :p

Ethos ive never had avacado before, hows it taste? Im getting real fed up of tuna and finding it a real mission to eat it now :(

At least people are posting ideas instead of critising like the OCUK way :p

Well I fell into the trap of whey protien etc.. and tbh its a waste of ££ not sure why I bothered but it seems the thing to do when you start out.

Also whos back is that in your sig m8y?

Whey protein is a waste of money? You must know a really good butcher if you can get 200g of protein a day from meat for less than the cost of whey!

Whey isn't a waste of money. And it's not something to do when you start out, it's a great supplement, in fact it's the best supplement a weight trainer / bodybuilder can get. Right through from beginner to IFBB Pro.

I wonder who can guess whos back it is the quickest?

My point being its not really needed and surely food is a much better option? I know of a few people who have never used it and are all a decent size and shape. Only time I would consider it is PWO but even then a decent meal would be much better....

As long as diet is good its not that difficult to get 200g of protein a day, fish/eggs/chicken and so on it soon adds up quickly when you eat so often.

How about 300g protein a day and more. It soon becomes very expensive. Protein powders are great for after a workout, directly after. And then a balanced meal 60-90 minutes later. They're also great pre-workout.

Of course it's not 100% needed, but it's a HUGE help and to be honest I'd be lost without it. My income doesn't give me the freedom to buy all the meat I'd ever need, and my schedule doesn't give me the time to spend all day in the kitchen.

IMO average joe's growth will stagnate without some help. Average Joe being average earnings and not having all day free to prepare food.

Easy to make protein bars:

350g Peanut Butter, Crunchy, Organic, Whole Earth
120g Porridge Oats
350g Honey, Pure, Clear, Waitrose*
200g Whey Protein Unflavoured
I personally add a bit of cinnamon

Makes 12 bars.

Rough Figures:

Calories (kcal) 366
Carbohydrate (g) 31.5
Protein (g) 22.5
Fat (g) 16.6

Yeah and how many people either have the money, or want to spend that money on doing it? I mean, even if you got most of it from tuna (cheap) you're looking at £4+ a day JUST on your protein. No one can eat that much fish, so eating chicken or steak just makes it more expensive.

I mean, I'd love to be able to eat 2 steaks, 300g of chicken breast and a can of tuna every day, but its not possible. So instead of holding myself back on the grounds that "food is better," I'd rather let myself get a high protein intake and enjoy the gains that come with that.

One that I like - slice a steak into 1/2inch strips, martinate in a little oil (enough to coat it) and cajun spice mix (can add oregano, cumin, crushed coriander seeds, crushed chilis). Only takes 4 mins to fry in a dry pan and you can add sweet potatoe mash, and/ or salad.

I like making up food which will last over 2-3 days, you can make up a batch of this for 3 off meals worth to help.

This is the only meal I eat practically every single day, it's the last meal I eat before my bedtime shake:

3 whole eggs
1/2 can of tuna
cooked in olive oil

makes a cracking high protein, tasty omelette with zero carbs. I add cheese if I need the extra calories.

Currently I'm really loving this pre-workout shake, tastes like a Bounty :)

100g Organic Oats
25g Whey
15g Milk Protein Concentrate - Choc flavour with Sucralose
10g Desiccated Coconut
10g Organic Flaxseed Powder
5g Organic Cocoa Powder
300ml Organic Semi-skimmed Milk
100ml Water

Obviously this is not for people looking to lose weight, but it will provide you with everything your body needs for gruelling workout.
