Looking for somewhere that would sell fine sandpapers, down the 10micron level, anyone know of anywhere online?

Fairly sure my local B&Q won't sell it down to that level.

I found 2000 grit on a boat building supplies site that I can't remember the URL of, if that's not fine enough google for lapidary supplies (gemstones).

I can't say enough good things about Klingspor paper sold here: http://www.flexiblesanders.co.uk/categories.php

It's self adhesive for use on 2.75" wide flexible sanding blocks and you can fold it double to sand by hand. I'd say it's better than 3M paper and doesn't clog like the cheap stuff. They'll do a free sample in the grit you want worth trying. Haven't ever seen it finer than 2500, 2000 is the norm.

Just out of interest, how many sheets are you ordering ?

and which sheets are you getting, I'm not too sure which sheets, and how many i need

TIA :)

Just ordered this lot here:-

1 x Tamiya - Finishing Abrasives P2000 Scale: na Date: New (TM87060) =
£1.65
1 x Tamiya - Finishing Abrasives P1200 Scale: na Date: New (TM87058) =
£1.65
1 x Tamiya - Finishing Abrasives P800 Scale: na Date: New (TM87056) =
£1.25
1 x Tamiya - Finishing Abrasives P600 Scale: na Date: New (TM87055) =

Start with the coarsest paper and work my down. Gonna move this to CPUs now.

Just ordered everything you ordered :D

I need to lap the Ninja because ive someonhow made some deep marks in it trying to put it on with too much force :(

Should come out after some serious ' Wet 'N' Dry ' Action though :D

I was quite underwhelmed by the quality of finish on the base of my AC7Pro. I must get some decent sandpaper and lap it at some point. Useful pointers in this thread.

Make sure you use a flat surface such as glass, otherwise it's a pointless activity regardless of how shiny you make it.
