Seagate 1TB OEM Drive Clicking !

Bought two of them, and immediately started to hear some clicking, had issues installing windows on one which later turned out to be faulty failing all the seagate tests, now the remaining drive passes all the tests but still clicks, it doesn’t sound healthy.

Wondering whether to return them both, it's not as bad as the other more obvious faulty drive but still does it now and again.

OK, second drive is also failing one of the tests so I guess that answers my question, will be requesting a refund on both, OCUK seem to have a dodgy batch.

Yeh, both returned and exchanged or refunded.

Since it's new I presume you haven't shifted data onto it yet. But if you back up the RMA it.

Well I have but it's backed up on my old drives anyway so that’s not a problem, it's just a huge inconvenience swapping everything round again and reinstalling windows and sending the drives back..... sigh.
