Morning - over the weekend my machine decided to hang and reboot itself 4 times - each time coming back with the "No bootable disk" etc error. Powering off and on the machine then boots OK and will work for a while before randomly doing this (1hour+). A quick look in event viewer (system) and lots of retry errors about 3 or 4 blocks on the hard drive which is a Crucial M4 SSD.
So first thought is that this drive (which I've had for 6 months) as my primary Win8 install is failing? or are there any tricks to stabilise it?
I also have a 1.5Tb Sammy HDD partitioned 1/0.5 (D:/E
with the latter being unused. What options have I got - can I take an image of the C: and put onto my E: partition as this machine is quite important for daily work and I'd rather head any complete failure off at the pass and replace the SDD now while its still working. Or would the best bet be
1. buy a new SSD
2. image the old SSD to the new SSD
3. chase for the warranty on the original drive
Not sure what Win8 image options are available or should I go with some 3rd party software for this
Thanks
