Everything I fire up IE and try to load a webpage it hangs and gives me a "not responding" error. Getting really peeved with this.
What do you recommend in place of it? Safari, Chrome or Firefox?
Using Vista HP 64.

Thanks

Download Chrome, Firefox and Opera, and see which one you like the best. Firefox is the most popular, but others are equally as good. Personally I'm an Opera man.

ive only recently got in to all the possible updates and add ons that are available for Firefox.

so FF everytime for me...

I use FF and have for a quite some time - lots of great add-ons and features. I dabbled with Chrome, and it's a great minimalistic browser, but I just didn't like it. I would download both, try them for a while and then make your choice on which one sits more comfortably with you.

I use opera mini for my PDA, but I haven't bothered using it for my main PC in nearly 6 years. I really didn't like it then and I'm not sure it would bring anything worthwhile to my normal usage.

Oh lord! :D

I'd say Opera personally, would need some special setting up but probably Firefox is better all round for out of the box performance, once you've installed all the necessary extensions such as AdBlock, NoScript and ColourFull tabs. :)

Try IE8?

If you're getting page not respnding a lot then i dont think its down to just the browser but something more. Perhaps a problem with the o/s.
