modern warfare is basically a brillant game mw2 is utter tripe . like i posted at the start two big people have gone now from the camp. this will either be good or a very bad move.

the whole cod series has become stale and needs reinventing but the thing is with how much money it can turn in would they dare risk the time it takes to do this ? my answer is no.

if they try to go battlefield way they to late and there arnt much options left for the game apart from space

battlefield bc2 is a very good game as long as your system is upto it . this is coming from a guy who doesnt play battlefield and is a cod whore.

i have actually uninstalled all cods except for cod mw now and wont play them anymore. time for pastures new or newer

The first call of duty was the best with united offensive.

I hope infinity ward and the call of duty series die soon..

Looking forward to see what Treyarch brings though.. It better be dedicated servers.

They won't let that puppy go anytime soon, MW2 made more money on it's release than any other entertainment release previous to it. It would make sense for them to switch while it's on a high but with such high income garunteed on, most likely, the next two in the series why take the risk?

activision have said they want to exploit their game franchises for a release every year.

So you can bet there will be more.

The games are only meant to have a life of 12 months.

They play almost identically, in fact the only major differences are that MW2 has more weapons, newer perks and much more ranks, giving it a longer online life. Yes, the P2P system isn't great but lately I have to say that I've found a game without too much trouble or time wasting.

I don't see how you can say one is brilliant and the sequel is utter tripe when they use the same engine, play identically, look identical, the only difference in terms of playability is that MW2 uses P2P instead of dedicated servers and nine times out of ten in my experience the games have been fine.

This is basically what all the controversy is about imo. Activision want a Modern Warfare game every 6-9 months or so, Infinity Ward want to take longer and produce a more polished product (ala Blizzard). Unfortunately IW are owned by Activision so don't really have a choice, lead devs get angry, do something stupid and get themselves fired and looking down the barrel of a lawsuit.

Does anyone play the Base assult mod for WaW? I remember bookmarking it a few months ago but never did more. Found it now and saw it was now live. So anyone got an opnion on this?

I doubt I'll be buying another COD game either. The only reason I bought MW2 was to use a voucher / credit I had with a store and frankly it was a waste. There were enjoyable moments but not enough by any means. The only Call of Duty game I really enjoyed was the first.

Oh i'm sorry, i must've forgotton to stop playing MW1 when i reached rank 55... oh wait 99% of my gameplay time was spent at max rank. The game is just a cluster**** with the intention of people jumping in and out of matches rather than building a community of players (ie, dedi servers). With that as the focus the game can't help but suck, especially when its basically a carbon copy of MW1 just made worse by unbalancing even more.

This is what happens nowadays when the corporate execs own 99% of all gaming & but do not understand it either so you get the same old rehash every few years etc etc

Even then Activision appear to be in the doghouse here as they have not paid any bonuses from their $1Bn $$$ pot MW2 has generated to date :eek:

I can see it ending in tears for IW as Activision have all the cards & COD is the brand so they can just pickup IW for chump change then close it down & get someone else to code the future installments as most gamers want the brand & are not bothered about who made it as long as its similar to the last installment & they enjoy it that's all that matters to them :rolleyes:

Dunno weather to buy BFBC2 cause people said that it had crappy performance on there PC's of all specs, I really want it but don't want to get it on the PS3 unless I'm forced

Dual wield shotguns, AC-130, chopper gunner, sentry guns, it's a mockery now.
