ok i have read the Samsung thread though...... twice! the rig i am trying to get to 2400MHz is -

3770k
Asrock ITX z77
8GB Samsung green
ax650w corsair psu

i have managed to stabilize 2133MHz @ 9-10-10-21-1T @ 1.56v VTT @ 1.1v 12hrs memtest and 3 passes IBT max.
I only have limited tweaking on this board -

i have no idea what the below do?

the first two options -

odt wr cha & odt wr chb only have three options 1)auto 2)60 3)120

then the other two -

odt nom cha & odt nom chb have 20,30,40,60,120,auto

thats all the info i have but any help would be gratefully recieved :)

**EDIT**

i had it working briefly last night

but i lost my sub settings and cant get it going again :(

it might not be possible to run 2400mhz,you could try with looser timings and command rate 2t

maybe 11-11-11-30-2t and start from there,or try raising bclk slightly to push more memory speed?

i think its down to cpu or mb bios that limits the oc of that ram,the asus gene can hit silly speeds with the samsung,im on an asus z68 v pro and i cant reach 2400mhz,just 2133mhz @1.55v

you can keep loosening timings and see if you manage to boot

maybe 12-12-12-35-2t ect

ok as i cant get 2400MHz stable, i can boot in but thats it!, i thought about stress testing my 2133 set up so 5 hours 5 passes no errors.

i think i can tighten the timings but i would love to push for 2400mhz

what dram voltages did you test with? and does your board let you adjust vccsa? ifso id try one or two clicks more vccsa not much though

dram you might need silly amounts for 2400mhz idk, maybe 1.55750v-1.65v

could be you can use any timings you want,i cant adjust vccsa on my board either but some can and it helps with stability at 2400mhz

could try looser 12-12-12-35 or 38-2t timings

The third timings are key for stability at 2400. What are your thirds set to. I tuned a 2400 profile on the Samsung Green page, set your thirds to similar. Its all about Latency Boundary at 2400. I was at 9-11-11 1.65v.

Z68 chipset is the problem there mate. Z77 Does much better with clocking RAM. Formula is best then Gene, but other ASUS Z77 boards allow flexible settings so with patience will work well.

im on z77 mate, tbh i think iv hit the limit of the board (asrock mITX z77), iv read that

10-12-12-31-1T or
9-11-11-28-1T

should be doable with these sticks, i will give those timings a go :)

heres mine on z68 @2133mhz 1.55v

cant reach 2400mhz but no biggie really

OK i think i have found my max oc for my ram on this board, i upped the BCLK to 103.1 my volts were upped from DRAM 1.56v to 1.57v and VTT from 1.053v to 1.076v to give me 2199MHz if i went 103.2 (2201MHz) it will not boot so i think this has a brick wall @2200MHz

Below are the results and they have improved over the 2133MHz oc.

ok i have stabilized 2201MHz same volts DRAM 1.57v and VTT i put on auto so 1.053v
(a drop :))

results are a little better :)
