*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S5 Thread ***

Ordered from gnestore Australia on ebay. Was pretty apprehensive at first but it was delivered within a week of ordering and all seems fine with the phone. There is a thread all about this on xda with lots of useful info from others who have imported one.

Thanks dude

The package you get with the S5 Prime is so nice when you compare it to the UK released s5.

805 cpu, 3gb ram, QHD display, 32gb on board memory, posh looking box with a spare battery included. You also get a little battery charging pod and a little plastic case for the battery (same as this http://www.clove.co.uk/samsung-galaxy-s5-extra-battery-kit)

It is everything the S5 should have been really. I guess they keep the best stuff for their own country though. This would have been a hit in this country i'm sure.

How much and where from?

How much and where from?

An Australian ebay store based in S Korea. Just under £360 before credit card currency conversion charges (which was 3% so came to ~£370)

Couldn't stomach either the Note 4's price or size so took a gamble and went for this instead.

Quite impressed with the finger print scanner on these as well. As long as you make sure you do it right i find it reads my print first time with no problems.

I had read and heard that it was complete parp.

register the same finger a few times for an even better hit rate.

I got the following deals from 3, are they any good?

1gb of data
600 mins talk time
£28/m for 2 years
no upfront cost

the deal for the note4 was:
2gb data
unlimited minutes
£38/m + £99 upfront.

guys, do you know if there is any benefit going with three on a 24m contract, as opposed to buying the device from amazon and getting a sim tariff?

I mean, is there any warranty that three provides or in case of a problem I always have to go to samsung anyway?

Not what i know of unless you pay extra for insurance, and its cheaper to buy and go sim only usually.. or was for me but i bought it second hand (well 2 weeks old) then i popped a Three £15 a Month AYCE sim in and im good to go.

Just picked one from O2 refresh and looking to remove the O2 splashscreen, can someone point me in the right direction to a stock UK unbranded firmware? I have looked on http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ but can only see a Vodafone UK one.

Am I right in thinking if I get one and just use Odin I can make it stock?

Thanks in advance.

Edit - Managed to fine one somehow from another page on the site
