MSI 7900GTO Mem Clock Speeds in here! (database)

Well I just had some luck. I got 652/800. Can more juice be given to my graphics card in my mobo bios and if so can that help? my 3Dmark05 points went from 9900 to 10559.

I'll tinker with things a bit more sometime when I arn't so tired.

Check this score out on 3Dmark05 I thought it was good seen as I'm only using an old AMD64 3200 with the card. :D

WIth a AMD 64 single slot CPU, 5000 is about right and people who can oC usually get around 5500. To reach 6000+ an AMD 64 X2 (dual core) would be needed. Give yourself a pat on the back though. Breaking 5000 is a nice feeling. :)

ah but u need to "test" it to make sure its working properly ;)

i know! :D

all joking aside, but im sure if i tell her that, she still woundnt give me it. thats whats worrying me, i dont want to have it sitting there for nearly 2 months and find out then its borked, resulting in not being able to send it back!

atleast if i do test it, that way then i can send it back if it is

Ok I got my card up to 691/800 and 3Dmark06 run with out crashin but I did notice that on the final graphics test in that snowy area the screen went black 4 times for les than a second each time. I'm not sure if that was a sign of it not being fully stable anyway here's my results again.

I almost got another 300 points from my last test.

I'm running at 700/800 with Coolbits - can't be bothered trying to go any higher as I'm not as much of a performance freak as some.

Current 3DMark05 score: 10425 (quit before CPU tests).

I do intend to be increasing my CPU overclock though - I'm certain a San Diego 3700 can comfortably go much faster than 2.4GHz with an Arctic Freezer Pro 64.

I got my 3200 to 2.7Ghz with the retail fan. I'm either realy lucky or Venice cheaps were amazing for their time.

Nice overclock on your single core 64. The 3Dmark 06 loves a bit of dual core.

The black screen does indicate a weakness in the overclock, I got problems at 730mhz core on the second test. Crashing back to the background with a error :(

To be honest 700/800 on the GTO is a sufficient enough overclock anyway and the 10-20MHz i've increased hasn't really made a difference unless we're talking about points on 3Dmark.

Your wish is my command! :D

I'll have to check my BIOS supports putting memory on dividers... and look into memory overclocking a bit more - bit nervous of frying it. It's 2x512MB Corsair XMS3200C2PT - anyone know how well this tends to overclock, and what the best timings/volts etc are? Or shall I head over to the memory section to ask that? :)

Just got my 7900GTO and i got a score of 4669 at stock seems a bit low to me, the rest of the specs are:

A64 3500 Venice (stock)
2GIG DDR 400mhz (dual channel)
MSI K8N Neo4

You'd need to overclock that CPU and perhaps get rid of all those unnecessary background services/program running if you haven't done so already. Try a defrag too.
