Switched from coolbits to ATI tool and found my max mem to be around 850Mhz, not bad at all
Going to flash to 680/850 with nibitor and test it out

Will it not work from a command prompt?Minstadave said:Does anyone know how to use Nvflash in windows? I don't have a floppy drive so need to flash my GTO in windows instead (I want to try out some 7900GTX bioses).

Also, nice score Its_Me. Tried the conroe any higher yet?
bilston said:Well guys I think theres either something up with my GTO or the motherboard is just not up to it. (Asrock DualVSTA).
Basically, one minute I can select 700 and it'll stay there and pass the test fine, the next minute it'll fail and revert back to 650. Tempted to try the GTX bios but wondering if I should just wait to see what I get on a new motherboard when I can afford it.
Its_Me said:I was told the GTX bios slackens the memory timings, thats why they can scal higher.

Try 685 and see if thats stable. Try rthdribl_1_2 (ggogle it) for 20 mins. Then try 690 etc.
Maybe so but when I was using the GTO bios and rivatuner I was able to run at 830 mem stable.
Now using the GTX bios and just coolbits I can still run at 830. No more or less.

it seesm that >2.0Vdimm cuases problems, but a little boost to around 1.95v is giving some results to memory overclocks.
My card runs so cool though, core could probably have a little volt boost.
DDR mate, 800 is in MHz, 1600 is DDR, double-data rate. Emphasis on the double.WatchTower said:Whats this 800mhz memory I thought the memory on these cards were 1300+ mhz. I'm clearly not understanding something.
Luck of the draw mate, suffice to say the actual real-time performance increase from 650/750 to 700/800 on the 7900GTO is only a matter of <5FPS, so it's not like your missing out. If it were a case of being 5-10FPS short of a playable framerate, i'd venture off and get SLi. At least that's what i'm doing as you know from another post of mine elsewhere.WatchTower said:I installed coolbits but I can't overclock the card an inch with out it failing the test. I can't even get my core past 680 or the memory to 700. Man it's anoying.
