please can you add the 750GB drive that uses 2 * 375GB platters please as i may buy 2.

Do you have dates for these arriving?

Nothing from Seagate I'm afraid. They will put more focus on the 1.5TB in the meantime as it's the newer product and they will have lots of 3 platter mechs to use up first.

price seems a little too high to me... 2x 1tb drives comes to £180 - extra 500gb for £4? not exactly hard to decide.

price is double that of a samsung f1 1tb, cant see many of these being sold until they go under £130. I want the 750GB version tho, i may have to settle for 2 * 640GB WD as they can be had for around £52 now, i'd like 2 * 320gb samsung f1 but they STILL aint at uk retailers.

the tomshardware benchmarks dont have the newer drives like the 640gb's in the comparisons so you should ignore their table.

But they do have the 320gig models which is the same but only one platter. Even Seagates own spec sheet shows the 320/640 models at 115MB/s transfer rates while the 500/750/1000 in the line are only 105MB/s

Not as much as hard disks did when they started! :)

Give the SSD's time to mature. In the last year they have advanced dramatically and they will only get better in time.
