Hi there

OK its not quite a dell but this new Hazro, the HZ27WB uses the exact same panel as the DELL U2711. This is a CCFL panel with ultra wide gamut, giving more accurate colour than the LED version of the Hazro's.

Makes this exceptional value, this is a one off model, the price is an introductory price only and a real bargain:-

Hazro HZ27WB 10-Bit 27" Widescreen Professional Monitor - Black @ £329.99 inc VAT

haha talk about a misleading thread title :D

i assume this is the model with the new enclosure then, same panel as previous HZ27B but looks like a new style bezel / stand

Is the saving over a U2711 really worth the joys of Hazro customer service, no HDCP support, no alternative inputs and spending your time joining the other Hazro owners on these forums complaning about problems :)

For the money you CAN go wrong, not that it's evident when OCUK won't publish any negative Hazro reviews on their product pages.

Yes there are some happy Hazro owners, but you'll have to take a risk if you want to become one :D

Curses. Why do you do this?! I can't decide between 120hz and 2560x1440 and thought i'd stick with what i've got until i can get pretty much both... and now this is released and is a steal..

Not necessarily - many coatings are custom requests from OEMs and we welcome a request from TFTCentral to conduct a review.

I'll be in touch ;)

My statement was based on the original HZ27WB and I was informed the panel was the same as before just in a new enclosure. If things have been changed then that's positive news on the AG front :)

So the product name remains 'HZ27WB' despite going from the old aluminum casing and height adjustable stand to the same casing/stand as the HZ27WC/HZ27WD? Why isn't this a HZ27WBv2 or something?
Oh well, for this price you can still buy a nice after-market stand/monitor arm.

Just bought this monitor. I must say, it is fantastic. Upgraded from a Dell 2405FPW, and i am very impressed, especially as the Dell equivalent was nearly twice the price.

A few problems though. There is no OSD, and you can only adjust the brightness on the monitor itself.

Also, the blurb on the website advises..

Customize your viewing experience with the height-adjustable stand and tilt/swivel features

You can't. Its a fixed stand, and there is no way that I can see that you can adjust the height or tilt it, so I have had to get creative and stand the monitor on a few beefy books to bring it up to the correct height.

Not a major problem, but a niggle in any case.

Other than the above, it seems fantastic value for money.

Hi

If you have a NVIDIA GPU you can adjust the picture quality brightness/ contrast / gamma ect via the nvidia display settings :)
