Hi guys please see the image, is this artifacting? What can be the cause of this?

Ongoing problem with this graphics card (4th one of same type) ready to get money back if this is the case as I;ve tried enough to get this to work.

I used to get something like that too......but after changing my card from a 760 to a 780 it went away

Having said that though....I think it in part is the game itself

AMD 8320
Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0
Superflower golden green 650W
Sandisk 120GBHDD
Seagate 1TB SHD
Rajtenik Thermis CPU cooler
Teamgroup black 8GB 1600MHz RAM

I used to get very similar problems with my old matrix platinum 280x, the same with a replacement 280x top but finally replaced with a 290x lightning and don't have the problems anymore. Not sure that it was down to the card though as I didn't have problems in any other games.

You have left out the vital nugget of information though, what card have you got?

I got the exact same thing for the first time a few days ago

my card is Gigabyte Windforce 290x oc

It's only done it once so far and just after I reinstalled my pc on a new ssd...? Before I re-installed and just after the new patch game was crashing when minimizing, exiting game and when origin was open loading new map.
It hasn't crashed since reinstall but I did get that weird glitch just the other day and was gonna post it up but forgot...

Just played an hour of Rome 2 and all seems fine. Still looks great. Will try BF4 again tomorrow see what happens.

I saw a very similar glitch/artifact like this in World of Warcraft on one specific location looking in one direction... No idea why, never saw it in any other games/other locations in WOW, assumed it was a driver/game issue.

I've also had this strange artifact recently. I put it down the game as it only happened once on a server just before it crashed. Not seen it since.

This happens to me sometimes. I've no idea what causes it but a re-start always solves it, as annoying as it is.

Sometimes it's as though there are huge 'walls' around certain parts of maps - I can go to other parts of the map which are fine but if I turn to face the affected area, I can see it in the distance.

It looks like textures that didn't fully rez, so they are "artifacted" because they are not complete, but it's not a case of bad artifacting caused by failing hardware. Sometimes heading to the centre of the map (if the game allows), or even just facing the centre of the map, will avoid needing a restart. But it depends on the app/game. Increasing Draw Distance and doing 360's can sometimes help too.

Still getting it now. Seems to be a lot of stuttering in the game also, is this just how poor BF4 is? I get in to a plane and it basically shakes!

Still getting it randomly in BF4. Ran a benchmark on Cinebench and got no problems, not sure how I can test the GPU. Anyone know if there is a way to test the GPU to make sure it's not faulty?

If its only that square I would think its not faulty. Try closing applications running in the background and see if it goes away, or try another driver mate. I have used both Nvidia and now AMD on BF4 and never had a problem like that. I hope you get that sorted, must be a real pain in the ass!
