Strange graphics in BF4, another GFX problem?

Just out of interest, are you using the latest 14.9 drivers from AMD?

Using the latest non beta drivers. Getting the problem in Rome 2 now, only firefox open in background.

Anyone have suggestions what I can do?

download DDU and uninstall all your drivers completely. ( Safe Mode ), then install driver and see how that is.

Thanks. Did this when I first got the card back from RMA but did it again yesterday just to make sure. Nothing else open except for the game and still has the artifacts. So both games I play Rome 2 and BF4 has it.

I lowered it and the artifacts reduce but do not dissapear.

That was at 1050, should I lower it more? Would like to RMA and get a different make/model as I can't run both of the games I want without artifacts on screen and can't run the card at the speeds/clock it was sold to me at.

put the card back to default settings and no OC and see if that helps as you shouldn't have to lower the clock speeds from its default settings.

do you know how hot the card is getting at all?

Card didn't break 60 degrees.

It is a factory OC card (why I bought it as I thought it would be stable and didn't want to OC myself).

I will find the standard clock for the 280x then and set it to that but to be honest I paid the extra for the factory OC that I can't run it at. To say it's dissapointing is an understatement!

Did you RMA this mate? I would never pay to have my card or CPU overclocked. Had Ocuk overclock an old CPU once and it was unstable. I hope you have better luck with the next one mate.

Welcome to EA quality control at its finest.

This is a bug in the game and not due to your graphic card, I've had it happen to me and friends of mine have it happen as well, and these are cards ranging between AMD 5850 to nVidia 780ti's and 970s

It wasn't OC'ed by OCUK though it was done by the manufacturer. Trying to RMA it as I can't play the games I bought it for but being told it's a game bug rather then GPU issue. Not sure what I can do now :S

Does rome 2 use the same engine as BF4? Not at home untill Friday now was going to try beta drivers then to see if that helps any but Matt on different thread said this wasn't a reported bug.

I play battlefield and loads of my friends and none of us have heard of that or get problems like that on the game. He also gets the problem on another game so it can't be down to Battlefield. Also there is nothing about it online. Its not down to BF4 i don't think Daz.

Do you have another pc to try the card in?

I've got my old PC hardware now I've changed my case I can set it back up and run some tests again. Probably need a copy of Win7 though. Wish it wasn't this difficult!

Also going to use fraps to record everything from now on. When/If you see what happens in Rome 2 you'll have a good laugh!

Is this something that has just happened? Or has the issue always been present with BF4?

I've experienced this in games before. I found that installing the latest drivers, and resetting video settings to default usually does the trick.

I've had atrifacting like that a few time on BF4 and I run an GTX 780.

It's the game which is a pile of poop, not your setup bud.

Thanks guys.

It never happened previously untill now, and it's on Rome 2 total war also but I couldn't get screenshots of that. Going home Friday to test it some more but all benchmarks come back ok and no errors reported on them so it is looking like a game glitch unfortunately.

I'll try record it just to show everyone.
