Lo all, thinking of buying a new HDTV for my xbox 360. I have a standard 28" toshiba and it looks pants compared to my bros HDTV. So i've decided to start looking. Can anyone recommend a cheap HDTV as my budget is about £500-£600. Ive seen a bush 26" HDTV in argos for £499.99 which sounds alright. Any help would be appreciated.
cheers

I gather its ok to talk about this company then as there are quite a few posts mentioning them

ive been waiting for the freeview model to come in stock, was 7 days now today changed to 28days so im ordering the one above same 26" without freeview tomorrow, its actually 25% that you can get off first order if you use the codes so its an amazing £450, high street retailers have these for £799  about the discount though it doesnt show up on confirmation but says its is deducted when payment is taken, bit dodgy so im making sure theres only £500 in my account tomorrow so they cant take the full whack even if they try ,lol

Yeah you do get 20% off first order. Although if you find some other codes you can get 25% off.

@ Turtle3, Place your order over the phone and confirm your price. That way you will be sure on exactly how much you are paying. I bought my Toshiba 37" that way so knew for sure how much i was paying

Just give them a ring and could not order over the phone said it was an online only promotion with the codes? also read on av forums to use the 20% offer as the 25% offer does not include electricals, some guy was billed the full amount?

just ordered :D I put both codes in just to make sure.... DQKP for a 25% saving, and DREP for a 20% saving, so its either £480 or £450 depending on which code they use :D cant go wrong IMOA shame they didnt have the freeview model but i think for £30 you can pick up an external one..

Anyone else ordered yet?

not yet, i noticed about this code thing, where do you get them from because when i was checking it out, it asked for a code on the checkout page and i didnt have anything to put in ????

Lo all, cheers for replying. Yeh, i've been looking at this TV and am considering it. Whats the buy now pay later code? And how does this work? Do you pay over a period of time with small payments or pay after 6 months or something?
cheers

WARNING

be carefull with this company, I ordered this morning using code DREP, bank contacted me to say my account is overdrawn, I did have £570 in there. Checked my email and freemans have sent me a mail explaining my order had not gone through as there was a problem with my card details??WTF... Contacted freemans to see why they have taken £599 and then told me the order has not gone through, also told them I used the discount so even if it did go through it should have been £480 and they have made me go over my limit.
Bloke on the phone has now said THERE IS NO RECORD OF ANY ORDER AT ALL,, looks like the robbing bastiles have taken me for £599.

Got to phone my bank tomorrow and find where my moneys gone, couldnt do anything today, also i reckon the bank was at fault as they let them take over my limit, now im gonna get charged £25 for that aswell...

GUTTED is an understatement im off for a beer :(

Also, just ordered one of these and entered the codes. The price still remained at £599, then it said you order is being processed, but your voucher codes are invalid!

So they dont give you the option to cancel the order!

I'll wait to see what happens

Awesome Telly tho, but tbh you can get them for £500 from a OCuk competitor who sell these, and are probably far more reputable than Freemans....we'll see

What are you planning to do then, I suppose you can send it back within 14 days for a refund?

Im just trying to find out who took my money, im £600 down and they have no record of an order by me, online shopping, i love it  lol

Sorry to hear that turtle3, i just can't believe they would make such a stupid mistake like that, sounds all a little dodgy tbh, good luck sorting their mess up.

dunno yet tbh. Wait to see what happens although i've received a confirmation email!

I'll keep you posted

Do you mean the email they sent you instantly after you placed your order, because that ones automated, takes about 3-4 hours till they actually manually process the transaction then I think you should get another one telling you its all done, like i did, albeit mines telling me it could not be processed due to insufficient funds as they already took one payment and seem to have forgotten about it lol

I dont understand why they said your voucher codes were invalid though?? my first message said voucher codes will not show on statement but will be deducted when they take the payment, best to check your bank and see how much they took...

Damn I was really looking forward to this tv, saved for ages and its all gone ****up, any chance of a pm with that other retailers name?? if i manage to get my money back ill buy from them... cheers mate, best of luck

Thanks mate, yeah its typical for me, I always seem to have probs these days :( I thought I was sorted, I put in both codes just to make sure one of them worked then made sure my bank only had enough money for the tv with the discount I kept £570 in there, I thought if they tried to take the full price not having enough money in my bank would ensure its declined, but my bank for some unknown reason let them take over my limit, I suppose just so they can charge me an overlimit £25 fee.. most annoying thing is I cant do anything the bank told me i have to wait a couple of days to make a claim and freemans deny taking any money and say ive got no tv coming :( WTF im helpless,,
