Constant Restarting

Ok guys,

Help is needed... I start my computer and it keeps restarting... over and over when powering up... what do you all think??? I put a new motherboard in it

I dont even get post

Like what system, full specs (conroe+? ) ?

Faulty PSU, maybe?

Disconnect everything, except 1 stick of RAM, Gfx and the CPU, see if it stays on.

PSU sounds like it, that's what keeps happening to my laptop and I'm pretty sure it's the PSU.

Ok took EVERYTHING out and its still rebooting the only things left in are the motherboard cpu and no RAM, and its STILL doing it... not impressed

Bios temps and psu rails?.... they reading normal?
Thats assuming you can get into the bios.

Could be a short, you tried the parts outside the case?

Have you got a different PSU you could try, even if it's only an old 300W or something?

clear cmos, that sorts gigabytes

you need to short the 2 pins though, its not like a normal mobo with 3 pins and a jumper lol

Try booting without the cpu, and see if you get a different response.

With a faulty cpu, you usually get some onscreen message via the BIOS and maybe an alarm sound.

Take the battery out of the motherboard.
