Constant Restarting

Can you list your exact equipment so i can try and help.

Things to try.

Check graphics... 1: is the power connected to graphics 2: try each slot.
Check PSU, as said try another it at all possible.
Check the board is not shorting out... som mobos have less screw holes than others... if you have a riser and no hole you may be shorting... check the PCI slot area
Check RAM - do you know if this works... have you any other stick to try

It is possible that the CPU is cutting out due to heat. Check the HS is making very good contact... also the HS must be firm enough to make the CPU pins connect. try reseating the CPU carefully but in the socket and the HS.

Do you have the fan in the CPU header... the board may need to detect a fan there... is it a 4 pin fan.... plug in the intel one just so the mb sees a fan there.

man your not having any luck at all

take the cpu out, check to see if the pins in the socket are all aligned propperly, incase you bent some and making contact.

when you say keeps restarting, do you get anything on screen?

have you plugged the 4pin/8pin connector on the board?

try gpu in other slot.

ive read the exact same complaint, bear with me im just routing out the thread which fixed it.

I know its gigabytes way of resolving overclocking. brb

I had a gigabyte board which hated any FSB over 15 higher than stock, but a CMOS reset cured it.

I'd try swapping a few components about and seeing what happens.

Wont be anything shorting on the case else it wouldnt power up at all.

WORKS!!!!! just make sure that you use both RED RAM slots when using the new gigabyte board ever ever ever! ******* ram slots in ******* gigabyte boards... now onto installing XP professional!! and then on to testing ;)
