wow, and the battery life looks much better on the N73

but im still swaying to the N80

edit: im too slow

I have the same problem, cannot decided between the n80/n73. The n80 also has a higher resolution screen. However the n73 has the battery life, better camera, +100mhz cpu and higher internal memory. Decisions Decisions

N80 doesn't work with Sat Nav either. It has F/W issues which stop it working correctly with BT GPS recivers. Maybe fixed later, but its an issue at the moment.

but the N80 has wifi...

cant decide, and orange just called me to tell me the N80 is back in stock and can be posted out for monday....

decisions.....

I went from nokia to SE, havent regretted it for one second...

Battery on the N80 lasts about 2 days with standard usage,

Does anyone know if it is possible to get higher capacity batteries for the N80? If so what is the battery code?

N73 comes with a 1100 mAh batter compared to just 820mAh for the N80.

The memory difference is only 2mb which isn't much.

The higher res screen is much more useful while browsing the web, especially on the new browser. Wifi browsing is also excellent although battery life is hammered.

My N80 has been pretty good to me so far, but then i came from a nokia 7600 so it was quite a step up!

The picture quality is far superior to my old phone so i don't mind about it being a tad fuzzy, the video is excellent!

The screen is amazing - great for web browsing using wifi at home ... no need to turn on the pc in the morning to check email etc :)

The battery life doesn't really bother me too much seeing as i charge mine most nights anyways so its always fine in the morning, although when i go away for two weeks to spain in two weeks time i shall see how it fairs then!

I have a 1gig miniSD in there atm, as the 2 gig card i bought wasn't playing ball - however when i eventually get mine flashed to the newer firmware i shall try the 2 gig card as it would be nice to fit more music on + have ample room for pics/vids ...

I'm struggling to decide against the SE W810i (free) or the Nokia N80 (£50) for my upgrade.

TBH, the last twice I've moved away from Nokia I've regretted it. And I've been really impressed with my 6230 so I've always stuck to Nokia.

Recommendations?

Edit - generally excellent reviews on the W810i - lots of people have mentioned terrible reception on the N80, and the battery doesn't last more than a day even with light use. Think thats just decided it for me..!

Tbh the N80 is a great phone, has some smashing features on it but its extremely poorly implemented. Not only that its quite a thick phone, like a tiny brick. I did have one when they first came out but i wasnt in the slightest impressed with the phone. The slider mechanism left a lot to be desired for and i found it a slow and extremely cumbersome phone to get on with. Also no auto focus on the camera is another silly idea they decided to implement so pics come out pretty crap really, even at the highest settings.

After i sent mine back i then went for the SE W810i, have had it for 3 months and i havent looked back at all. Although it doesnt have as many features as the n80 but it does what it says on the tin and imho the pics on w810i are a lot more clearer and sharper than the n80 and thats from a 2mp camera where the n80 has a 3mp camera. The w810i may not have built in WIFI, which incidentally first attracted me to the n80 but i should be getting the SE P990i soon so im not too fussed at the moment.

In all honesty i would go for the w810i over the n80, its smaller and lighter and funnily enough has replaced my video ipod for my mp3's. I dont think ill ever go back to Nokia now, ive had 2 of them 6680 and n80 and i was majorly disappointed with both whereas every SE phone ive had...well ive not had any complaints about them.

God you must hate nokia with passion lol :P

I've owned both the 6680 and n80 and both have been truly awesome

to the OP - It would be best if you could use one before buying to see if you like them or not. As opinions seem to vary widly over these phones. I find the n80 fits into my life well despite the 2-3 day battery life. That may not be good enough for you.
