I don't know if it has reached the UK yet but I've just caught the end of Fergie's(Black Eyed Peas) new video - London Bridge. To use a cliche it was like watching a train wreck, I have no idea what it was about but the horror was too much to turn away from. As a euphemism "My London Bridge, London Bridge wanna' go down" doesn't even make sense  I'm really hoping that someone can explain something about it so that I never have to watch it again and try to understand it. What on earth were her record company thinking?

Here is a link on Youtube for those who want to try and figure it out.

Oh dear God. It makes me want to insert sharp things into my ears and eyes at the same time.

Wow, that truly was terrible. I normally find Black Eyed Peas stuff pretty nice on the ear, not really my cup of tea mind you.

Isn't there that story about some american guy buying "London Bridge" when he infact had Tower Bridge in mind?

There sure is, the previous London Bridge currently takes pride of place in Arizona.

Roughly translates as 'I want to be Gwen Stefani in Hollaback Girl.'

Ok thanks for the interpretation, it still makes no sense but nevermind at least I know I'm not the only one who doesn't understand it properly. The funny thing is that I quite like Gwen Stefani's music but I can't see myself ever coming to terms with what Fergie releases.

Not my cup of tea, but it's blatently going to be massive.

Which is why I never pay attention to the charts these days.

That was my first impression as well.

It appears "London Bridge" is a euphamism for something more... private.

She's still hot, though. :D

edit: just reread the OP. Yeah, the euphamism doesn't make sense, really.

She's made the age old mistake of featuring Tower Bridge in the video
Why do they do that? They don't even look similar, do they? Google returns the same pics for both searches.

I heard this yesterday, i only watched it because shes not bad looking, but the songs so dire i just had to turn it off.

Just been on Urban Dictionary and shes singing about being a dirty ****.

I would'nt like my teenage daughter buying that song then looking up on the internet for the defintion, shocking.

You know, I was fine just thinking it was nonsense and I could have gone quite happily through my life without knowing that but I suppose I did ask for it. :o

Mind you if your teenage daughter listens to songs and is that influenced by them I'd say you have bigger problems than Fergie singing. Arguably it isn't even that bad or that graphic in comparison to some songs around, the original of Khia's - My Neck, My Back was much more explicit for instance.

That was explicit but it was right out there and its a natural things lovers do but a "london bridge" is abit
