WD SATA not detected..

Hi,

Put system together but cant get HD working

The HD is a Western Digital SATA 80GB, it's not getting detected in the BIOS? It was working last week...

I put all the power plugs, tried all different SATA slots and a different SATA cable. My Mobo is a DFI Ultra-D.

Any help would be great, Also, would it help to go to a mates house and format the drive, as it is unformatted!

Is the SATA controller enabled in the BIOS (try a CMOS reset)?

did a CMOS clear-nothing Im afraid-any chance a format tommorow will help. Ill take it to my mate's house and well see if it works or not

You won't be able to format it without the BIOS seeing it.

Have you checked the jumper if it has one, its not set to something daft?

Which jumper? I have not touched any jumper since OcUK sent me a new one, I think I'll take it to my friends and format there-fingers crossed
