Tell me about it I'm sat here trying to work out how long I'll be without money for. Think I can manage to scrape by for a month on me bursary. But hey, I need the extra desktop real estate for editing essays. It's worth it. :D

HI there

Seriously if you guys want one of these you MUST BUY NOW!!

Reason because I can never EVER repeat this price again. It is limited to the stock we have left which are all A03 revision or until next Thursday when the deal ends.

If you want this panel then you must buy now. Remember with OcUK we don't only have the lowest price in the UK, but our panels come with 4yr warranty and we can get it to you next working day. :)

Happy Christmas all!! :D

Crap I just got my NEC 20WGX2 today. Think I am gonna try this 2407 as well. Well still thinking.. :)

gibbo, do uz do student discount?? lol

Id love to go for this but im planning on buying a macbook pro early next year and also a hi-def camcorder so this screen is just out of the question unfortunately!

Will you be doing any similar offers on the Asus 22" by any chance?

monitor height?

guys, just a small query on this screen...

could someone who has this monitor please tell me what the height is when this monitor is when the stand is fully raised? Might sound like a strange unimportant question but if i buy this machine it will have to fit into an certain with tight height restrictions.

Thanks in advance
J

Arrgh! Why didn't I wait 3 weeks from the last time it was on TWO - I would have saved myself an extra £90!

And as for your question - its 49-50cm's tall when fully raised on its stand, with screen flat/straight. It would be a fraction taller if the screen is tilted up/back.

yep, they are just preset modes with different brightness, contrast and RGB settings really, designed for different uses. On the Dell series, running in "movie" and "gaming" also enables the features of the Faroudja Video Processing Suite which has it's improvements in these uses. This is not enabled in the "desktop" preset though since it was causing the much talked about 'banding issue'

i'm seriously considering this monitor but worried about my gpx card not supporting the resolution....i'm mainly playing wow and have a x1900xt 256mg card...what u guys think??

depends on settings i guess, but even if it wont quite handle the full 1920 x 1200 res you have a couple of very good options to play with! You can either play at a lower res (say 1680x 1050) and let the screen interpolate to full screen. This is generally pretty good on modern panels, only slight loss of sharpness. Alternatively you can use the screens 1:1 pixel mapping option and this will then put black borders around the image and only use the exact pixels you specifiy from the res. This would almost be like playing on a 20"/21" screen within the 24" area!
