Just put live on the website now with 400pcs available, I predict they will sell at approx 100pcs per week, maybe more so get one now!! :D

That is an amazing cooler, I have it on a 6800 and it keeps the card well chilly, no more than 54oC under load.

With all the blue RAM sinks, they missed a treat by not putting the LED version for 2-3 quid more.

Good question from Cyber-mav, as you can hear the fan when it is on full but not when it is on low.

gibbo
do you think you will be able to sell some if those vrm heatsinks separatly?
i could do with one for my x1960pro due to them overheating

HI there

We don't get spares sorry.

Just get a random heatisnk and artic silver epoxy it on, but be very careful not to overspill onto contacts.

does this card use the regular 1.4ns ram, or is it 1.2ns ram.
im gonna guess that its 1.2ns since that has theoretical max of 1666mhz.

Hi there

Not sure if its 1.2ns but I've asked and Sapphire are re-fitting different memory on these.

tried that with some cut down vga ramsinks, it did not work. So will these be available for purchase anywhere or are they a costome type just for these cards?

So erm is the vrm cooled better compared to normal 1950pro sapphire cards as you probably know gibbo lots of ppl have complained about inadaquate cooling on them.

Also will this run on my akasa paxpower 400w psu?

And another also.. Whats better the HiS 512mb or this card and is a 512mb version on its way if so what price do you think it will be?

Edit - Ah crap its pci-e :( Thought it was agp version.

Hi there

We sell at the moment close to 100 X1950 Pro's per day and get little complaints but its no doubt due to most customers not overclocking them.

The Akasa PSU is a very good unit and will cope fine with one of these cards.

Hard to say which is better between HIS and Sapphire. HIS has quicker core speed and more memory. Yet Sapphire has quicker memory clock. Buy whichever you preferre as they will perform very similar. :)

this is a tricky question:

mate of mine has a 19inch tft so runs the rez of 1280x1024.

now looking at the prices, which card would be better to buy out of these 2 which are only 1 quid in difference:

Sapphire ultimate 256mb x1950pro

or

Power colour 512mb x1950pro.

one has faster ram speed. the other has faster core speed and double the ram.

which card would benefit him the most, take into consideration that 1280x1024 is the highest rez he can run at and he is not planning to buy a new monitor more higher rez, but may gat a lcd tft in the future that runs at a LOWER rez of 1360x768.

very tough decision this.

Hi there

The HIS is only £2 difference but has even quicker core and memory speed over the Powercolor version and again 512MB of memory. :)

Either card will be great but the one that has the edge well I do not know.

Gibbo.. dude i've been reading a few reviews of this card online and one in particular mentions the retail box shipping with the Just Cause game? can you confirm this is the case.

Since i was mistaken this card for agp earlier. Gibbo any chance of a agp version of this or not in the very near future?
