Out of all the threads I read on this forum, no-one could come up with a decent reason for getting 64 bit other than the fact that 64 bit will be the standard in a few years' time. Seeing as you need better hardware [i.e. ideally 4GB of RAM] to really make the use of 64-bit with games I went with x86.
I'll probably change my mobo in two-years' time and will think about getting 64-bit then and doing further hardware upgrades. For now I know 32-bit will work near perfectly on my system, especially since I'll have 2 GB of RAM next week.
Oh, and I can't be arsed to naff about waiting for the 64-bit drivers.

Yes i agree with you too, very good points you brought up ,plus in 2 years time when its x64 bit you will have all the hardware in place ..Lysander said:I went for 32 bit. yes maybe so ,but its the driver issues as well, plus is there a need at present for x64 bit until its been running a few more years ?gurusan said:What hardware upgrades? Everything in your system is 64 bit compatible
agree with thatElevon said:I went with 64 bit HP Vista, reason being 4GB ram and 4GB USB flash drive (READYBOOST compatible).64 bit is the future and has better security, also I have two other PCs with 32 bit XP so I won't have any real problems.
Side note: a few friends of mine are running 64 bit XP and have no problems with drivers or gaming.
I think some people will check and see what drivers are available before installing their Vista, which would be the sensible thing to do.
I,d say search the net to see if your hardware will have x64 drivers ,if so go x64.rlculver said:Hi,
So should people go 32 bit or 64 bit?
Difficult decision to make!!!!!!!
Yes it is faster ,but its got to be stable and reliable too, need to wait until its been out a few weeks ..the threads will be in here i,m sure !durbs said:Ive gone 64 for many reasons, one of them being its faster and more efficient:
