Any one else modded up a Nine Hundred yet?

They look relatively cool to start with, but I decided to mix some colour in with the Black today.

Have a look through those, sorry for the poor focus on some of them; I dont have a steady hand.

The entire Chasis is now a Red/Orange, as are both fan grills (top and side) and the front plates. The expansion bay covers are now black, as are the HDD cages. The insides of the doors are the same as the chasis.

Amazing what impact just one/two colours can have.

I didnt take pics of the HDD cages, but I sprayed them Black.

Hopefully some of you have done something with a Nine Hundred, and I'd like to see.

not a bad job at the cabling considering its a standard case with no mods and 4 hard drives :D

and excuse the mess i have about 3 Pc's in the process of being built and the house being done up so my room is the dumping ground

Not bad mate.

I need to get some Lights and a side-fan.

That cable management is good, I found it quite hard. These Liberty cables are fairly short.

I like the look of this case, but have read about quite a few problems. Unfiltered fans, motherboard tray not removable (I keep my PCs tidy by shoving most of the wires behind the mobo tray, this would be a concern), and also that, due to poor manufacture the top graphics card slot isn't usable?

Nice mod tho!

Problems with the graphics card slot was only on early cases which Antec have been replacing under warranty with the new version. Current version doesn't have that problem.

Nice mod tho!

Got the Antec 900 last week and I am more than happy with it.

Cable management isn't what it has majored on true, but it does have cable reusable tidys fixed in the case that come in handy.

As mentioned, the graphics slot thing was resolved months ago. I don't think it was poor manufacture so much as poor measuring. The build quality is excellent.

The main thing for me is that it is very quiet (subjectively to my old one anyway) and has lowered temps by +/- 10 degrees. Ati catalyst is telling me my graphics card temperatures have gone from 46 (oc'ed) at idle down to 32! So, either my old case was terrible, the 900 is really good, or a bit of both.

You could always fit you own dust filters.

I like it very mucho.

I have been a long term owner/fan of Antec cases and to be honest I was disappointed with my first impressions of the Nine Hundred. I think this was mainly because of the cheap-looking plastic that much of the exterior consists of.

After building a few systems into these cases though, my faith in Antec design and build quality - and in particular attention to detail- is unmoved. As always, Antec have thought of everything and even provide a textured rubber mat to line the 'knick-knack tray' on the top of the tower. I like em now.

I just got one and I'm also very happy with it.

Downsides: The lack of a removable motherboard tray and dust filters. The floppy drive enclosure is rather fiddly to fit and the instructions for it aren't good. They could've added a couple of spare thumb screws too though, as I lost one already :(

The rest of what I have to say about it is totally positive :)

Temps have gone down from 42/62 idle/load to 33/48 and it's not any louder than my old case which had 2x92mm fans. The antec case has 3x120mm + 1x200mm -- that's a fair old amount of air it pushes for very limited noise.

Looks good (not why I bought it).

The tray is genius (my ipod shuffle & my dad's ipod nano USB cable are sitting in it and it's great to know they're out of the way)

The USB ports are fantastically placed, plus they actually WORK. My old case had the most complicated USB ports ever. Everyone I know with that case (old cheap and nasty £25 job with side window -- you see them everywhere) had the same problem and couldn't get them working. The Antec case has a simple USB plug and it worked first time. Yay.

All in all it's just a quality bit of kit. I think the other Antec lines that include PSUs are ultimately better value, but if you want low temperatures then this is a good buy :)

I've just put a 240 rad inthe front of my case(with some help off my good friends)

Really impressed with this case :D

once the rad was mounted in the front,it left me with three bays left.

one for my h/d(mounted using the caddy that came with the case)

one for my res,and one for my dvd rw

suits my needs perfect :)
