Some people had previously asked about fitting a Tuniq Tower 120 into a Lian-Li v1000.
So here are some pictures to show fitting on Asus P5W Deluxe board.

The tower fits nicely and leaves about 3mm gap from the bottom divider.
I have also reversed the Tuniq fan to blow towards the back of the case and reversed the back fan to blow out (exhaust).
The temperatures (idle) are 16c for CPU and 40c for mb (Asus Q prob).
Hope it helps.

 That's very cold! Did you test it in a fridge?

It's a tight fit, clearly depends on the mobo. Do you bother with the CPU airflow cover thing?

Well here is your question and answer...

I am getting 25-27c on Intel TAT. Don't know why the big difference between the Intel and the Asus programs.
I did not bother with the CPU airflow cover thing (whatever this thing is...)

Air duct is the correct terminology! The thingy below the fan.

I would have thought that the 25C-27C range must be more accurate.

ps your rig looks great inside.

Forget about the air duct, no space to fit it above the Tower.

I've just bought the same case (V1000 plus II) and one of those Tuniq Towers, same mobo.

Will the CPU air duct thingy physically not fit over the tower? Even at full extension? If not, guess I'll just have to lose it :(

Also does the air duct at the top work well? Looks like a good idea but theory doesn't always translate well into practice

The air duct won't fit as the Tuniq is too high. I had previously installed the Artic Freezer 7, which was rubbish as one of the legs decided to go home after three days.
While using the Arctic Freezer, I tested the air duct and it did not have any impact on the temperatures, so I am not missing it.
I have actually removed the air duct attachment as I have no plan to use it.
Here you can see how it looks now:

Great case, they now inlcude the cdrom casing which works great with my Philips optical.

Wow, amazing they really are big. But dammit how cool does your system run?

How hard was it to fit? I've got a freezer7 and on a p5ne-sli it wont fit the correct way so was a nightmare

Just received mine yesterday, they really are bigger than a 60's block of flats, it's huge!!! Thanks for the info regarding the duct plate, guess I won't be needing that even if it did fit.

In terms of temps, how effective is the topmost fan next to the graphics cards? Does that make much of a difference?

I noticed also that you only get one optical drive cover with the case but I, like a lot of people, have 2 optical drives and a drive bay control panel for my X-Fi Fatal1ty. Can you buy extra covers for this case as I can't find any anywhere! (Please don't post any names of suppliers on here though, just a simple yes or no will do for now ;) )

Magic! Why didn't I see those?! LOL Obviously can't see the trees for looking! Oh well, will have to pre-order one as I've got a black case and they've only got silver ones in stock :(

When you fit it remove all the other plates and insert it from the bottom upwards like Lian Li say to. Doing it any other way is a pain and you may scratch something.

OK, thanks for the tip. Wouldn't want to put a scratch on such an exquisite (and indeed expensive!) piece of kit!

Well, you got the answer about the optical cover.
The top exhaust fan is very important, that's what make it type 2 case. Re-read my comments about changing fans directions, or practice your own mods and see. Another tip - don't peel off the Tuniq back bracket. It's designed to stick to the back of the mb but will be very hard to remove. Just install without peelling it off.

You're a mine of information aren't you! :p Thanks again for the tip. I'm not sure what you mean though, can you post a pic so I don't foul it up by getting it wrong?
