Been playing with my new build for about a week now, E4300 / P5N-E SLI / 1gb Crucial 667 / X1800GTO, I have been so busy clocking up my Core 2 and my X1800 the ram sort of got left behind.

I think it was save the best to last, I managed to get from stock settings of 333mhz @ 3/3/3/12 to 500mhz 4/3/3/8, best 68quid I ever spent ;)

yeap i must agree with that
this is really a great stuff

my 2Gb kit does SP 1M at 600mhz ( DDR 1200!!) at 2.25Vdimm

Nice score mate, whats the highest you can go at tight timings, I maxed out my ram mhz and it only got to 520ish at 5/5/5/15, although that was in the yellow slots of my P5N-E, I have to use the black slots to get 500 4/3/3/8.

This ram is also great value
will do 1200 mhz at 4-4-4-12 2.4 vdimm
Ocz Gold Edition 1gb (1 x 1gb) PC2-8800 DDR2 1100 CL5=£85 2 gigs = £162
Amazes me everyone recommends the geil and ocz 2gb pc6400 does'nt the ballistix represent better value and performance?

Yeah your right mate, the 2gb pack can be had for £125 and the 1gb pack for £68 which is the same sort of price as the Geil/Ocz but people seem to overlook it

I think the results speak for themselves ;)

The good thing about this ballistix ram aswell is you can buy a 1gb stick at £60
If you cant afford 2 gigs straight off then get another stick when can afford.

just got some today running sweet at PC8500 with 2.2v

Nice results, they've got to be the best price/performance DDR2 that you can buy at the moment.

Personally I've been playing with a pair of 1GB Cellshock 6400's which have nicely suprised me.

I'm still testing at 2.20v for the moment but i reckon there's still plenty of headroom left in em once I start upping the volts.

Next step is to test 4.4.4.12 1000Mhz (1:1) with a 12hr run of Orthos which my last system passed at the same settings, but with far more expensive ram. :)

800Mhz 3.3.3.8 2.2V

1000Mhz 4.4.3.8 2.2V

Theres some nice results going round at the moment, how long until we see 500mhz at 3/3/3/8? DDR2 has come a long way since I got my 1st set as soon as Intel jumped on the pci-express/ddr2 bandwagon.

They were a set of Corsair 667 4/4/4/12 which did about 360mhz max unless you loosened the timings to 5/5/5/15 and then it was about 380mhz :p

I have this kit, been tinkering with it since sunday, its running at 924mhz at the moment with 4-4-4-12 timings, So far so good, does anyone think i could tighten these slightly, im a bit new to this.

Dont see why not, overclocking is mostly trial and error, if its no good at tighter timings just switch them back, what voltages are you using for your memory?

Just the manufacturers 2.2v, Im happy with my progress so far, Oblivion seems to start juddering after about 15 mins of play, i dont know whats causing that.

I have 2gb. Im runing 1600 x 1000 with hdr on, most of the time fps is in the 40's but a couple of times itd dropped to 7ish and started stuttering with he sound going funny, i quit, reload and its fine so im a bit baffled.

I mate

most high i can go with 8-3-3-3 at 2.25Vdimm ,is 800 mhz- I try at 850mhz but I get no post
(I do not want to do more voltage to the ram ,because it runs hot)
( they are in the yellow slot´s,has allways)

still, at these timings SP 1M score is lower than at 600mhz at 18-5-5-5
