From your list there, this is the easiest to use and allow you the potential to transfer many of the techniques you'll use to the 'professional' full version of Photoshop.

TheBarkerFamily. The decision you really have to make is what do you want to do with the software? If you only want to make basic adjustments to your images, then Elements (or maybe Lightroom) may be the best way to go. If you find yourself wanting to make major adjustments and use it for other purposes, such as web development then you may be better of getting a copy of Photoshop CS. The price differences do vary and so does the simplicity of use, but in the long run if you plan to get into photography and photography manipulation, full blown Photoshop maybe the way to go.

Have a look at the features of both, Adobe offer trials for both packages, see which suits your needs best.

Hope that helps

You need the easiest, simplest, most straightforward software to use - and that's going to be Elements. If you could use the full-blown version of Photoshop you'd already know about it.

Elements 4 or 5 will do you fine for now.
