Well, after a buyer on MM linked me to these guys I thought it was a bit too good to be true considering the price, but when the day came to ship my item they came (albeit at the very end of the day, annoying as I had to wait in for them) and took it and delivered on schedule. They used DHL too, who've always been good to me.

It's an Ebay web-store (oddly) and it's called Payperdrop http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Payperdrop_UK-DELIVERY_W0QQcolZ2QQdirZ1QQfsubZ2Q***idZ2QQtZkm

Purchase the auction, then fill in the delivery form, then wait for collection.

Price is damn reasonable £5.99:

MAXIMUM DIMENSIONS ARE 120cm x 60cm x 60cm.

MAXIMUM WEIGHT IS 31.5 KG.

Item is also TRACKED and INSURED up to £100, extra upon request.

Now I don't know about you, but being charged 20-odd quid by Royal Mail for a SFF PC weighing 6 kilos via 1st class insured parcels is just not an option any more... the high 32kg weight limit of these guys means that heavy MM items can be shipped for not too much cost.

Obviously I am not affiliated with them and this is not advertising for them... it's just they seem reliable and it could put and end to MM transactions that seem to cost an arm and a leg with postage... 32KG is heavy enough for all but the most massive LCD/CRT screens, and £5.99 makes it a LOT easier on the wallet than you regularly see on MM for large goods.

Some may find it useful. :)

That sounds pretty good actually. Would definitely make sending cases and complete PCs a bi easier on the wallet.

Once a few more people try it I reckon it should be stickied in the MM.

Hmmm...I'm selling a 19" Iiyama (broken *sighs*) in the MM and I was thinking about not posting it all and just letting people collect it, but this certainly gives me another option :)

Hmm, the problem I have is that I don't trust anything on ebay at all.

I presume they're just purchasing empty space in existing courier routes (that DHL farm off to them at cheap prices), and selling them on at a small profit. Could be a useful sticky in the end if they prove useful.

It's a proper company, and while I agree it's odd they run off of Ebay... it seems fully legit and they have a ton of good feedback too. Probably no more unreliable than any other courier service tbh. :)

Just in time ive got a load of kit I need to send back to some places and this will come in very handy cheers

From what I have seen before, certain customers get a discount, but to get said discount they need to ship x parcels per day, so they sell extra space from the courier to maintain their discount

Yeah fair enough, just my initial, second, third, fourth....nth thought about anything on Ebay is that it's a scam ;)

Your loss, mate. I've bought loads of stuff off eBay for years and I've never had a single bad experience. Sold a couple of things too. Keep your eyes peeled and you're laughing.

I sold a SFF Shuttle and posted it via Royal Mail.. so I know that feeling

Thanks for the heads up, have a cookie and two internets.

Nice! I need to RMA a few motherboards, so this is ideal. :) Do you get a tracking no. at all?

DHL gave me a sheet and stuck a sicker on it with what definately looks like a barcode and tracking number. :)

This is the future guys. Ive been using one of these ebay services for a while now and all I can say is they deliver the goods, intact and on time.

Royal mail can go suck eggs for all I care. I recently lost a decent psu kit because of them idiots and it was special delivery. I got a refund but that dont help the seller as they are out of pocket.
