Hiatchi 7K200 200Gb Vs Seagate Momentus 7 200RPM 200Gb (2.5" drives)

If you're using eSATA then I'd be tempted to dig a bit deeper into the reviews but if you're only using USB then go with whichever is cheaper, there's no point in paying for performance if the interface is going to be a bottleneck.

AFAIK the Hitachi rocks the Seagate, which was itself an impressive drive! The storagereview review of the 7K200 compares them. But, as said, the caddy will probably be the bottleneck.

They only do the 7K200 vs the 160Gb Version of the Seagate.

Ill get the Hitachi then.

Cheers :D

Edit: I've got a two port eSATA Expresscard for my MBP

Mac HD 1: 160Gb 7200RPM
Mac HD 2: 200GB 7200RPM 2.5" USB Powered eSATA
Mac HD 3: 500Gb Western Digital MyBook Premium ES Via eSATA as well

All I need now is a powered USB hub :|
