Hey guys,

I ordered one of these over a week ago, hoping that it would be received by overclockers on the 16th, sadly, it's now gone back to "pre-order" with no date of expected stock.

Anyone heard anything more on this?

Thanks. :)

Cancel the pre-order and wait for the upcomming 8800GTS 512mb, the reason these cards are out of stock is because nvidia is currently backing a hell of a lot of 8800GTs 512mb's (they use the same cores).

What is better about them, what is the price, what is the release date?

Im getting confused between the different cards :(

Should be Monday apparently. Except delivery at your home on Tuesday.

Don't worry about the GTS, if you've ordered from EVGA you can upgrade for the price difference within 90 days of purchasing the GT.

New GTS is supposedly 3rd December, should be faster than the GT, but by how much no one knows, as the only difference by all accounts is that it has 16x more streams, and could be priced around £260+.

The new GTS wil be priced 200£ MAX. The RRP in the US is going to be 300-350$, which is about $175 max, with a bit of markup. 180-200 absolute max.

It'll perform better than a GTX when using 4X AA or below, as a rough estimate, and the increased shader power means about 10% faster in games like Crysis over the GTX which has fairly slow shaders, but a lot of them.

I thought £260 was a little high at first for the new GTS, but then I didn't expect the GT's to be going for nearly £200.

I would guess the price to be some where between £230 - £260 depending on how many are in the UK at launch.

Personally Looking at the performance of the 8800gt i will be more than pleased to get one instead of waiting for the gts which based upon the 8800gt launch could take a while, I ordered 2 evga superclocked 8800gt's on the 5th november (SLI) & i'm still waiting for them.
I've got all the components for a new pc & i'm just waiting on the gt's now, Can't wait to play crysis & cod4.

I'm in pretty much the same boat, but i only need one, and since the motherboard i got doesn't have onboard video, i can't even start up my new computer to test it out! :(
