harddrive will only open with a program

If I double click my harddrive, it happens what you see on the screenshot.

this also happens with |Esata, USB and now I checked it also happens to my USB drive.

AVG was saying that both had trojan horses on it, so I clicked HEAL, could that have been the problem or something? both USB and external work fine on other PCs, and this PC was fine 3 weeks ago ( I was on holiday, and no one has used this pc for 3 weeks, it was fine when I left here)

Check there isn't an autorun.inf in the root of the drives. If there is remove it.

yeah after lots of scans, its always the autorun.inf files that cause the problems I think.

How Do I remove them? AVG will heal them or move to virus vault, but that doesnt do anything

Can you not just delete them as normal? You may have to take ownership through the security properties first.

Well the problem is, that they arent there. Only the AVG sees them, nothing else. So I cant delete them.

Ok I turned them on, and I deleted the autorun.inf file but this problem is still there. The thing wont open

The web page I found suggested you needed to reboot before you'd see any change.

thanks dude. I didnt reboot,but I had to unplug the harddrive and usb stick, and plug it back in, and then it worked.
