I know netbooks aren't made for gaming but I'm sure they're good enought to play many PC games for the 90s. A thread made letting people know what games will work well on there netbooks would be handy I'm sure.

I've really enjoyed the Gothic games Gothic three would have been a master piece if it wasn't for the crazy amount of bugs in it. I was thinking of getting the first Gothic game and wondered if it would run ok on my Acer Aspire One? I'd like a nice game to play while I'm in Wales. I love Wales I always go there for my holidays. :D

What kind of price can you pick up netbooks for? Never looked into the prices or spec's.

I thought netbooks were suppost to be in the £150-£200 band.

My new acer cost me about 350 got nice size widescreen, core2, 2gig of ram.

That isn't a netbook...

My Asus 900 set me back about £160 used (£200 with an external DVD-RW). Plays things like GTA3 no problem.

I have a legit copy of Deus EX and wondered if there any legal way to play the game with out the disc? Saying that if anyone knows any decent games that can be played with out the disc please let me know. It's annoying to have to keep connecting my 360 HD drive.

I'm in the process of installing Deus Ex on my Eee via Steam, so that's one legal way. From what I have heard you can download it for free from Gametap, which wouldn't require a CD either...

Apparently Rome Total War works OK, think I will have a go at installing that tonight or tommorow. Does anyone know if Civ 4 works?

Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exodus, both recently added to Steam and great because they don't need a mouse.

Tomb Raider up as far as three are keyboard controls as well.

C&C the first decade could be a good shout as everything from that should run and it's a great collection.

Doom 1 and 2

Myst and Riven

Baldur's Gate 1 and 2

Neverwinter Nights

Oh, and minesweeper :)
