The netbook games thread.

Been having a whizz on Dungeon Seige 2, was expecting it to run awfully but was happily suprised by it. (Advent 4211 w/ 2 gig of ram).

Going to try a few more as I need some gaming on the go when I'm off to egypt next month (bugger all else to do once the sun goes down :-/)

C&C - The First Decade (obv not Generals tho) ? It would go great with that low res screen too! :D
just tried it and most of them work well, generals is a little choppy, but playable at 800x600 (only option). Yuri's revenge is a brilliant game for it , although tiny on highest res settings.

HAd warcraft 3 and gta vice city running fine on my Samsung NC10. Loaded up wow and it wasnt too good at only 10fps in iron forge.

Emulation is pretty shiny on this NC10 if you don't mind sticking to pre-1995 hardware.

I've got Amiga Workbench running well among other things, and it's going down the pub this weekend for the Wetherspoons free WIFI test :D

How are you guys playing HL/CS ? CS loads but runs 10-15FPS, so unplayable! Not tried HL1 but I assume the same as its the same engine? I thought HL1 based games would be ok

i have world of goo runing on my medion akoya / msi wind clone

also got football mananger 2008 runing use this text sting on the shortcut target properties for it to work ( "C:\Program Files\Sport Interactive\Football Manager 2008\fm.exe" -windowed -small_screen )

Will update with screen shots of everything i have running and what settings

HL runs like crap on my Advent 4211 (MSI wind). It looks like the Atom is cause of the performance issues rather than the Intel graphics (my parents laptop which has a Core 2 duo and GMA950 graphics can run HL without any issues.
