Before I start:

I know im going to get a load of stick for this, as everyone will critise. Everyone has their own taste, and their own view, here is mine.

Ingredients
1. Good Quality Whole Leaf Tea
2. Water
3. Milk and/or Sugar to taste.

Appratus
a. Kettle
b. Tea Pot
c. Tea Strainer
d. Cup and Saucer
e. Assorted Teaspoons.

The Tea we will be using for todays exercise will be

English Breakfast No14
I brought a Kilo from Harrods, early in December. It is stored in airtight container, in a dark cool place. Kept like this it will keep for upto 3 months without losing flavour.

Notice the size of the loose tea, Compare this to a teabag which i cut open (below)

See how the particles are smaller and more "Dust" like - This is a bad thing

Now back to making the Tea

1. Fill the Kettle with a little more water then you actually need, remember you need some extra to warm the pot too.

2. When the kettle has boiled, use a bit of the hot water to warm the pot

3. The add 2 teaspoons of loose tea to the teapot, im using a special single cup pot, you will need to alter you pot and the amout of tea you use, if making for more pople.

THEN add the hot water, and stir once anitclockwise, and twice clockwise, then add the lid to the pot.

Teacosy is optional.

Leave to brew for between 3 to 5 minutes depending on the blend of tea you have, this blend im using calls for 3 mins.

While you are waiting for the tea to steep, prepare the cup, get the milk (optional) from the fridge and place in the cup. and choose the biscuits.

Ok that 3 mins go by so fast, dont leave it too long or it will stew.

Get you tea strainer and place on the cup, then pour slowly.

ADVISORY - MILK AND SUGAR

When and if, and how much Milk and sugar to add to tea, is a very subjective and personal thing, and as such i will not advise on what to do and leave it to yourself to determine.

Personally i add the milk before pouring the tea, and add 1/2 a sugar to the tea.

At the end of the day its your choice and dontlet anyone tell you whats right or wrong.

All done

Phew i need another cup now :)

p.s. off work today and very bored.

Good grief, you didn't even mention the use of Bone China.

Personally I prefer mine the way I make it rather than someone else telling me how to make "a cup of tea". Spam tbh.
