Got any email from Microsoft asking to try the new MSN, so installed it and its pretty impressive, it looks a lot better and best of all, it auto opens hotmail in Firefox :D:D:D

 
Yea had this months ago, you can sign in from two different locations to, it doesn't sign you out, which is good.

I like how the chat does bullet points as well.

Yeah tried that when it was beta hopefully they update the xbox 360 to work in conjunction with that feature because logging in there still logs you out

Its quite limited so far? The current A-patch build? What exactly does it let you do right now? Not knowing what I can do is the only thing stopping me from upgrading WLM right now. :)

I want to be able to remove the ads really, other tweaks I can cope without until there is a newer build of A-patch.
 
The Apatch lets you remove ads and change a few other things. This version of Messenger is far less bloated than 8.5 from a default install anyway, so there's far less that needs to be removed to make it usable.

Excellent. :) Not too fussed about the Firefox thing although that is progress.

Ironically I'm on MSN now so I'll have to wait a few hours to install the new version and patch it. :D

Btw has anyone got the full installer for just the new WLM client? I like to archive my installers so I can reinstall Vista and progs without needing to be online for stuff. I don't want the tiny installer for the whole Windows Live stuff or indeed the massive offline installer for the whole Windows Live stuff. Just want a WLM installer. :(
 
Made a thread earlier but had no replies yet, just wondering if anyone has had problems getting it working on Vista Ultimate x64? I can't even sign in using the new version, just get an app crash and the program stops responding.

Not encounterd any issues, ran apatch on it to remove the ads and set the exe to vista compatability mode so it will minimise to the notification area ;)
 
Been using this for a while now, really like it. Only thing which annoys me is that Messenger Plus does not work with the latest Beta :(.
