Anyone looking forward to this coming out?

I have been watching it on the tube and recon it could be not bad but then again i havent played any of clancys games or flight game.

Woth buying a decent joy stick for or avoid boh at all costs?

I was wondering this the other day. I was hoping for a sim with half-decent realism and an awesome graphic engine, but after seeing the trailer, it looks like a G-Loc style arcade thrash. I think I'll probably avoid.

I can't work out what it is supposed to be either - the screenies look like it's from a glorified shooter with aircraft, but the previewers refer to it as a 'sim'. It doesn't seem very sim-like to me, more of a hybrid.

I've been wondering about this as well. All the dev videos I've seen of it make it look like it's primarily designed to be more like a third person style updated version of Afterburner. Hopefully it will be good for a laugh though. A good multiplayer element to this could make for some fun. :D

when the first trailer come out out i was rate looking forward to it but now ive seen games play it looks extremely boring!

sure there's another tom clancy war game coming out on same day aswell, forgot whats its called though

In the style of the Ace Combat series from all appearances - good if you like an arcade shooter (which I do), but won't win you over if you're on the sim side of the fence.

aye its realy just ace combat there was a preview on a game program called playr on bravo

still may pick it up tho as i liked ace combat :) not into the sim side of things at all

I see this supports Trackir and Triple Head 2 Go for those interested. That doesn't remove the fact that it looks less sim and more BF2 air war although I still think it could be a laugh online.

More to the point...I need anything that will justify me having bought a Trackir. :P

An XBox 360 controller is probably the best. I may well be getting this, its been a quite a while since theres been a game of this sort on the PC. Got a feeling it is going to be stonking on TripleHead as the realtively narrow field of view on single screen have always hindered enjoyment of these sort of games; hiting a key to change your viewing angle to spot a MIG during a dogfight doest cut it.

I really enjoyed the Ace Combat series and found them a welcome escape from sims. This looks like it should be a very good laugh with a controller :)

I loved Ace Combat 6, if this is as good I'll love this too. Plus this will be on the PC which means better graphics :D.

Personally while I love sims, I love games like this too. I don't want to always play serious games.

The only exception are sub games like Silent Hunter, no arcadey versions of those please. ¬¬

Is the demo for this still planned for the 26th? Really looking forward to this, haven't had a good jet fighter game in a while.
