Ooopps... Suspended!

So yea, been suspended on full pay from work today...

I kinda need a bit of advice, wondering if i'm going to be kicked out the door;

We were having a debate about a none work related matter and fisticuffs ensued, I basically punched the guy in jest on the arm (someone I know quite well and get along with) and he jumped up shouting "dont ****** hit me blah blah" and full on punched me in the face!

Of course the boss saw and pulled us aside, asked what happened and suspended us both.

Is it time to hit the job centre?

Doesn't hurt to look around, maybe you will find a better job?
 
To be fair to the guy, I would have done the same thing. Why did you feel it necessary to punch him in the arm? Felt the need to be alpha? (Not trying to insult - genuinely curious!)

Doubt you'll get the sack, but it's always possible.
 
Are you really going to want to go back to work there? I mean the atmosphere isn't going to be great. Unless you have worked your way up to a high position in the company, I'd look for a new job.
 
Unlucky.... might blow over, if you both are agreeable about it and your boss can formally discipline you about it.

Depends if you would be happy still working there with him - or if you 2 can forget about it really, thats what your boss will be thinking about.
 
lol! Over the top reaction from the so called mate by smacking you one in the face! Did you smack him one back then!

Get in! Its not every day you see a punch up in the office! lol
 
did the boss see the whole thing, including you hitting him on the arm? would it have been obvious you were only messing about (not sure how it couldnt be if you hit him on the arm)
